Sometimes Karma's a ....

Dear SeaWorld,

I’m sorry to hear about your loss (of revenue). But you know what they always say~

“Put a giant fish in a tiny tank for a really long time and you get what you get.”

Yours Truly,
A woman who thinks zoos suck and whales have feelings too

Preach ON Sister. I am so with you on this. Plus, hello? It's called a "killer whale." What did you expect!

James,
I'm sorry, I had to take your comment down. My kids read this drivel too and if I leave it they'll use it against me, I'm sure of it.

Still friends?

Dang it-I always miss the drama! I didn't even know what you all were talking about-I had to google it. I feel so out of touch.

There's no drama. James was probably dead on about the thought process of the captive killer whale I just didn't know whales swore so much.

I read this morning that SeaWorld is going to keep the whale, which honestly is probably the only good option at this point. I'm sure he can't live in the wild and why should he have to die because some idiots with bigger brains (though not necessarily SMARTER brains) decided to use him to make a buck. (the article quoted SeaWorld as saying he is an important part of their breeding program, so clearly is a humanitarian issue for them)

It's possible that I'm getting too annoyed over this (not that I EVER get TOO annoyed over things), but SeaWorld just got added to the list of places I will never go. (Darcy, they have bumped WalMart from the top spot!) As far as I'm concerned SeaWorld is just a more expensive and fancier circus. Instead of elephants they have whales. It's sad.
