What is customary here?

If someone sends me an e-mail, trying to pass off an idea as their own, when in fact I have received it as a forward from more than one of the dastardly forwarders who have my e-mail address, is that plagerism, or am I to think that maybe today's sender was actually the original creator of this famously and much shared correspondence?

*was that the longest sentence ever, or what?!

Wow, I never get these sorts of emails yet alone lots of the same ones. No one ever send me anything but jokes and no one tries to take credit for coming up with them.

I can forward them on to you if you want.

This particular one is not a joke(in the sense that it's not MEANT to be funny). It's a political opinion thing-which I won't share right now, because it would be too L-O-N-G.

It's not even a big deal, just that I've seen it before, therefore I know it's not this person's original thought. Does that make sense?
